PULASKI
A Place with Stories to Tell
At the heart of Giles County, Historic Downtown Pulaski is known for its preserved beauty, lined with locally owned shops, inviting storefronts, and gathering spaces that stay lively year-round. Downtown has a way of bringing the whole community together, from everyday exploring to signature events like the SunDrop Festival each June.
Pulaski is home to the University of Tennessee Southern, where campus life adds energy and new faces to the community. Two routes of the Trail of Tears, the Benge Route and the Bell Route, crossed through Giles County, and the Trial of Tears Interpretive Center in Pulaski honors that legacy with care and reflection. Just outside of town on the way towards Lynnville, Milky Way Farm showcases scenic countryside and a storied past.
Family farms, farm stores, and roadside stands offer produce straight from the fields, and many local restaurants serve meat and produce raised nearby. When it's time to head outdoors, Wolf Gap draws in walkers and bird watchers, and kayaking the Elk River offers a peaceful way to spend an afternoon on the water. In Pulaski, you don't have to choose between small-town charm and wide-open spaces. You get both.
